When Light & Hope for Philippines first dreamed of Backpack of Hope, our prayer was simple: provide 50 backpacks filled with supplies for Filipino elementary students. It felt like a small ask for our big God.
But He had even greater plans. 
God stretched our vision from 50 to 100… and He faithfully provided—101 backpacks delivered to a Christian church and local elementary school! We thought that was the end of the story, but God wasn’t finished yet.
Just over a week later, a rural church with 68 elementary children reached out for help. Once again, prayers were answered—and every child received a backpack filled with supplies. 
What started as a prayer for 50 has grown into an astounding 169 backpacks—each one placed in the hands of a child in need in the Philippines.
